A word from our Maitre 'd...

Hi Folks!... thanks for stopping by Fishtales website. A bit about myself. I was born, raised and educated in South Africa. Finishing my formal education in Europe in the Hotel and restaurant industry.... In 1967 I continued my travels, finding myself in Vancouver BC Canada... where in 1969 I joined Canadian Pacific Airlines as a Steward... I retired as an In-flight Customer Service Director in 2001, after a fabulous 35 year career in the air.... It was while flying for Canadian Pacific I learned the true meaning of "Customer Service".... Shortly after my retirement I was honored and complimented when asked by my peers John and Kam Schroder owners of Fishtales Cafe (a casual/fine dining establishment) if I would be their Maitre'd.... the rest is history. My home is in Palm Springs California, however for the summer months you will find me in the Garden of "Fishtales" spinning "Tales" and directing traffic.... BON APPETITE....
